Celebrating MLK Jr.

At school we taught our students about MLK Jr., and people really forget how sad times were when he gave his "I have a dream" speech. Not even so long ago, in 1963, African Americans were treated so horrifically, so less than a white person based on the color of their skin. It was a sad, sad time.

His impact is immense and lasting. Cheers to a man who brought an open mind to a closed off nation and who's purpose in life was to better mankind!

  1. A great man had a dream, now it's up to us to make sure it doesn't turn into a nightmare. Such amazing people should be more honoured and remembered everyday not just their anniversaries of death and events.
