Obama Stands Up for Gun Control

"They deserve a vote."

On Tuesday night President Obama demanded actions be taken to act on gun control. I appreciated his approach, because he said lets talk about reformation, lets vote on these bills, lets get the conversation going because what has been done hasn't worked. "But these proposals deserve a vote."

Remember that recent terrible shooting at a U.S. elementary school? That one really shook me and ever since I have been praying that our children become more safe in this country, if not the world. Our children shouldn't be going to school worrying about being killed, it's not right.

Obama talked about 15 year old Hadiya, who 3 weeks prior to this State of Union address was in Washington performing with her high school at President Obama's inauguration. A week later she was shot and killed in a park after school.

When will it stop? When will we make it stop.

  1. Gun control is something that America has needed for a VERY long time, but with organisations such as the NRA and also the second amendment makes it very difficult but I do hope that the changes to happen.

How many more have to die and suffer before something is done?

I will be sharing this blog too.

  4. LOL! Well, with a name like "Nishat" it is obvious, doesn't take a genius to work that out. It's like calling Michael - Mike, Jonathan - Jon, etc. And I do know lots of people that are called "Nish" (Nishith, Nisha, etc). So yeah, don't know you yet!
